Mike Hepfer is Cofounder of Leo Aerospace from Grandville, Michigan. Mike serves as the head of Product Development for Leo Aerospace where he is responsible for the design, production, and supply chain for development of the launch vehicle.
He has a background in robotic design, advanced automated manufacturing, and fabrication. Mike was an engineer at JR Automation where he worked with a team of mechanical engineers to design large scale automated assembly lines for advanced manufacturing. Before JR he worked as a Mechanical Design Intern for Ugo Labs where he designed and fabricated components for a fully automated smoothie machine.
While studying Industrial Engineering at Purdue University Mike served as the President and Program Director of Purdue Orbital. While in office he grew the team to 100 students who conduct ambitious design-build-test work in the aerospace field. In the off hours Mike enjoys exploring the outdoors, engineering side projects, learning about emerging technologies, and a great brewery.
